A coastal walk via Garmouth with good views of the Moray Firth.

                           7 miles.  Short walk from Spey Bay to Garmouth 4 miles.

Auchallater to Loch Callater LM43

Walk there and back on a very good walking surface 6,5 miles

                           Short walk from Auchallater crosses the Clunie Water by the foot

                           bridge and takes the road past Braemar golf course into Braemar

                           4 miles.

                           Two separate walks in the Forfar area. Morning – walk round              

                          Forfar Loch flat 3 miles. Afternoon – walk up to the War Memorial    

                          at Balmashanner 3 miles. Short walk round the Loch

Rhynie to Tullynessle in the Coreen Hills LM37 (571624) 

      

                                 From the square in Rhynie along the track up Clova Hill along the

                          ridge to Lord Arthur's Hill down to Tullynessle. 9 miles

                          Short walk from Rhynie toward Clova Hill and  back 4 miles.

A there and back walk from the Linn of Dee to where the river emerges from a series of square rock form the Chests, 8 miles. Short walk available..

Cambus o'May Quarries LM44 (NO370958)

Start in Ballater walk on old Deeside railway line to the cheese factory then up a track to the quarries from which many Ballater buildings came. Good views over the Dee valley. Through the birch woods to Tullich and return to Ballater 7 miles. Short walk available.

Portsoy to Cullen LM29 (592662)

From the car park in Portsoy the coastal trail is followed to Sandend and up to Findlater Castle then on to Cullen Harbour. Care is required in the vicinity of the castle where the footpath is a bit tricky in places.Distance 6.5 miles. Short walk available.

Burn o'Vat and Culblean Circuit LR44 (NO459987)

From Dinnet through the woods and open field to Loch Kinnord and the Visitor Centre at Muir of Dinnet. Path to the Burn o'Vat towards the Vat. High above the Vat the walk turns and gently descends towards Loch Kinnord. The walk continues down the other side of the loch and a return to Dinnet 8 miles. Short walk – from Dinnet a circuit of Loch Kinnord 4 miles.
