uphill climb, and level paths to Pressendye Hill, then descending back to
Tarland. 9 miles.

to Cullen : LM29 (592 662)
From the car park in Portsoy, the coastal trail
is followed to Sandend and up to Findlater Castle, then on to Cullen Harbour.
Care is required in the vicinity of the castle where thefootpath is tricky in
places. Distance: 6.5 miles. Short walk available
Wednesday June 20th
Eight Cairns, Balmoral : LM37 (265 941)
A circular walk in the Balmoral estate viewing
eight cairns erected by Queen Victoria. The walk is undulating with beautiful
views of the surrounding countryside (7.5 miles). Short walk begins at the same
point and follows an unclassified road to the South Deeside Road to Mains of
Abergeldie past Balnacroft and back via the Distillery (3.75 miles). Quiet
roads all the way, and very gentle incline.
