Starting just south of Spy Hill, we follow the track around the North Monluth Hill, cross the Burn of Sheeoch, towards the Craig. Re-crossing the burn, we join the original track back to the start – 7 miles. Short walk is on the same route, as far as is wished, and back.

Starting in Glenesk at Invermark, the walk is along the north side of Loch Lee, then follows the Water of Lee to the falls of Unich, then back – 7 miles. Short walk will be along the side of Loch Lee, 3 to 4 miles.

A scenic, level walk, starting at the railway station in Dufftown along the old line to Craigellachie and on to Aberlour – 7 miles. Short walk – Craigellachie to Aberlour – 3miles

Glen Lui to Glen Quoich via the Clais Fhearnaig (Clash Yaarnak), a curious ravine containing an artificial loch created for fishing –

Aboyne Fungal to Dinnet LM44 (530987-460987)

Start at Aboyne car park via the Fungal, to Craigendinnie Hill, and down to Glentanar. Along the riverbank path to the Braeloine Centre, and over the hill to Dinnet. A varied walk, with a hill at the start, then fairly easy – 7miles. Short walk is from Victoria Hall along the old railway line to the glider field, and on to Dinnet – 4 miles.

Walk starts at Crathie Church car park. Pass churchyard to the bridge &cross river. Then quiet road leading to woodland track. Return past Lochnagar Distillery, cross river to car park. 6.4miles

Airlie Monument   LM 44-45 (392598)

Start at Cortachy Cemetery, walk alongside River South Esk to Dykehead & then along B 955 to Cortachy Cemetery. A steady climb to Airlie Monument with good views over Glen Clova & Glen Prosen. Return route past memorial to Captain Scott & Edward Wilson.7 miles

Short walk: Dykehead to Cortachy  & return. 4 miles

Wednesday June 8th

Inverbervie- Benholm Gourdon Circular LM  45 (732815)

Leaving Inverbervie a gentle climb up Gourdon Hill, then a gentle descent to Mill of Benholm. Turning east we walk along the Breedies Brae to join the coastal path to Gourdon. Then to Inverbervie. Long walk of 7.5miles.

Short walk: Inverbervie-Gourdon circular/4 miles

Forest of Deer, Mintlaw      OS.30 (957513)

at White Cow Wood car park, cross minor road into Forest of Deer to the Den of Howie & onward to the Observatory. Then Chapel Park Farm to Pitfour Lake, along its shore to the A950 where we join the old railway line & finish at the Happy Plant Centre. 6.5miles

Short Walk: around the lake and back to Happy Plant Centre.
