Logie Coldstone  Circular     LM37 (434046)

Starting at Logie Coldstone, we all walk through Blelack woods past the wells of Poldhu then through lovely woodland and grassy meadows to Auchnerran. Long walkers then ascend gently to the foothills of Morven and return to Logie Coldstone via Bridgefoot and minor country road (7miles). Short walkers take a direct easy path back from Auchnerran to the village (4miles).

Tombae to Glentanar

Long gradual climb from Deeside over the valley of the River Tanar then downhill to Glentanar House. Generally good under foot with excellent views. Long walk approx. 8 miles. Short circular walk from Visitor Centre. Approx. 4 miles

Findochty to Cullen    LM 29   (504 673)

Fine coastal walk with lovely views. Starting at Findochty we walk along to Portknockie then past the Bow Fiddle Rock then on to Cullen. Lovely seascapes and mostly easy walking. Long walk7 miles Short walk available.

Ballochbuie Forest  LM43  (200910) Circular Walk


From Keiloch car park on the A93 over the River Dee up through the lovely Caledon Forest ,then gentle climb on good tracks to the Garbh Alt Falls.The round to forest lodge returning by hillside track affording marvellous views of Lochnagar and the Cairngorms. Long walk6 miles. Short walk available

Wednesday September 16th

Dinnet to Tarland    LM37 (468992


Starting at Dinnet we go via St James House and past the Hill of Mullochdhu for Burnside, turn west towards Loch Davan, then to Neuk Ordie, Nether Ruthven to old road at Leys, past Correchie House back to Tarland. 7 miles.
Short walk:  Start at St James House past Braeroddich Loch and join old road at airfield at Aboyne.     4.5miles

Wednesday September 16th

Edzell and the Rocks of Solitude   LM 44 and 45(599691)

From Edzell we walk to the Gannochy Bridge, then alongside the River Esk to the strange Rocks of Solitude. Wonderful views and the trees should have their autumn colours. Return to Gannochy Bridge and take river footpath back to Edzell. Long walk 6 miles, short walk as far as wanted, along river side then back to Edzell past the Shakey Bridge
