Stonehaven. Dunnottar Castle Circular

Starting at south side of Stonehaven, we walk through Dunnottar Woods then along main road to turn right on to country road leading to coastal road from Stonehaven. Then on to Castle where we join path to War Memorial & back to Stonehaven 5.5miles

Short Walk :: through Dunnottar Woods and return

Duff House  -  Bridge of Alvah Circular LM29(689634)

Mainly flat with slight incline for first mile or so.
Lovely carpets of snowdrops at end of walk. 6miles

Haddo House Estate LM3

Start at Methlick, cross River Ythan into grounds of Haddo House  and via Gillha Woods, Raxton Woods & Ordhill. 
Finish at Tarves car park. 6 miles.

Wednesday March 30th

Braes of Gight

Walk starts at car park in Methlick through village & on to track, turning right over River Ythan on to B9005 for a short distance. Then we join a track which leads to Gight Castle =(ruin). Then downhill, we cross the river onto a track which takes us back to Methlick. 6 miles
Short walk: Castle & return 4.5miles

Loch of Strathbeg Nature Reserve LM30  (005577)

Loch of Strathbeg is the largest dune loch in the UK. This walk is a chance to see some of the wilder parts of the reserve, starting at St Combs with a beach walk southwards & return along the dunes.7.5miles
Short walk: an abbreviated version of the long walk.
A sighting of a “Tufted Duck” is guaranteed

Wednesday April 27th

Lethan-Arbirlot (619418)

Start at Lethan along the old Forfar railway line to St Vigeans (Waulkmill nature trail) Then Arbroath harbour along the seafront to Elliot. Then follow Elliot-Arbirlot nature trail. 7miles
Short Walk::Lethan to Arbroath & then to car park near cliffs.
